Somehow, everyday here in Macau/Hong Kong, I am sweating like hell!
The worst is on Wednesday, when I go to Lantau Island, to pay respect to the Giant Buddha Statue.
I am feeling the heat right from the start, when I was taking the ferry from Central Pier to Lantau Island. The real problem starts when I am standing at the bottom of the hill (where the Buddha statue is). The sun is so hot and glaring that I cannot open my eyes fully, even though I put on my shades.
The climb up the stairs to the hilltop is a torture, under the hot sun! When I reached the top, my T-shirt is totally drenched. There are no trees near to the buddha, so the only way to hide from the sun is to go inside, into the base of the budhha statue.
You know what? Once I get into the base of the Buddha (where the exhibits are located), I find a corner and put down my bag and camera, and stand there, resting. I guess I stayput for abotu 10 minutes, before I proceed to look at the exhibits.
Even though, after the 10 minutes rest, I still have not recovered. I am feeling weak and tired, and thirsty.
Knowing that I could possibly running into risk of heat exhaustion, I went to Po Lin Monastery, to have a Vegetarian Lunch. I spend 90 minutes eating the lunch, reason being I want to rest in an air-con place, drinking the entire pot of tea which is provided.
Vegetarian Lunch at Po Lin Monastery (HKD 60, including visit to the Giant Buddha)
I have never feel that way (except for those days in the army)!
After that day, I will do "Water Parade" every night before sleep, so that my body cells are sufficiently filled up with fluid.

This is true that it's too hot nowadays. I was planning to go to Singapore, but after read your views, I decided that I'll not go to there.

Hi "Hemant", weather in Singapore is hot, but it is breezy here, so you will not feel that warm. Moreover, there are lots of trees and shade. So, I think you will be alright if you come to Singapore.
Welcome to Singapore.
