Wait - Wait - Wait

Rain...and rain...
The stormy weather really makes people feel sick, especially when you are going for holidays.
However, the feeling is excited once I have arrived at the airport.

After getting my boarding pass (which is a slip of paper, see picture on the right), I am invited to witness a touching scene:

A family (couple and a kid) is sending off their maid. I can see that they are in very good relationship, the kid is hugging the maid tightly when she is getting into the Customs area. The maid cried uncontrollably. After she has entered into the Customs Area, she is still looking back repeatedly, waving at the hosts, and the hosts are waving back in response. Though I have heard many bad stories/experiences whereby the host and maid are not getting along together, this is definitely an exception.

As i am already running late, I went into the waiting area immediately. However, I didnt see the plane?! Strange...at that time (around 3pm), the plane should be parking at the bay, waiting for passengers to go on board. Anyway, I thought it may be understandable if there is a slight delay.

Fortunately, there are two desktops inside the waiting area for me to spend my leisure time by surfing the web, and checking emails. 30 minutes have passed and the plane is still missing. The crowd is getting impatient, and they announce that the plane is delayed, will be taking off at 4:30pm (another one hour of delay).

To be considerate to others, I gave off the internet station to others, and I start to surf the net using the mini-laptop (ASUS), borrowed from Wan Yong (my friend). Another one hour passed and nothing seemed to happen, the plane has not arrived yet.

Well, another delay....sigh....

Finally, the plane arrived at the parking bay at 4:45pm! Bravo! Finally!

At 5:10pm, we started to board the plane in an orderly manner.

I cannot wait to board the plane! Not because I am excited about the trip. It is because I have been in the waiting area for too long! High Tide lah!

It feels nice to be received by the Pilot and he has apologised to us about the delay. The reason for delay is due to the fact that more than 300 flights are cancelled on Friday, and priority are given to those flights when they are departing from Macau/HK airport, and hence, our plane was delayed from departing.

I felt much better then, after knowing the reasons for delay. I thought it was one of those bad experience flying with budgeted airline. But n0t for me! Both of my experience with Jetstar have been very good!

Anyway, I always think that the food on the plane is not tasty, but I am wrong this time. The Hainanese Chicken Rice and a Tiger Beer ($15) is one of the best dinner I ever had on the plane (I guess it is because I was feeling so hungry after long hours of waiting). Hehe.
