Macau/Hong Kong 2008 - Typhoon Nuri

22-Aug-08

I am going to fly to Macau/HK for a one-week holiday tomorrow, and heard the news reported on TV that Typhoon Nuri has stuck Southern China!

"What the @#!$", I was thinking.
In 1998, I stopped over HK on my return trip from San Francisco for 2/3 days, and there was also a Typhoon alert then! Weather was stormy, and I didnt see much of HK. Thus, when I saw the offer from Jetstar (only $200 return flight, including taxes), I quickly booked the tickets online!

After hearing from the news that most flight were cancelled, I quickly get online to Changi Airport website, to check whether my flight is cancelled. Flight is not cancelled, but was delayed from 2:10pm to 3:30pm.

At the same time, I google "Hong Kong Weather Forecast", and understand that the Nuri is weakening after it struck Southern China. Thanks god! Finally, I have a comfort mind, and all ready to pack my stuffs and get on to my first trip to Macau!
